New HBO Series To Shoot in Dolores

The new HBO series”Looking”  will be filming a birthday party scene in Dolores Park today, Thursday 7am-9pm and Friday 7am-9pm. The series is centered around the LBGT community and is shot on location in the city of San Francisco for its entire first season. The series stars Jonathan Groff, Frankie J. Alvarez, and Murray Bartlett, as three gay best friends living in San Francisco. “Looking is as much about San Francisco as it is about the characters inhabiting the show. We are thrilled to be shooting in the City.” HBO President of Programming Michael Lombardo.

Most of the trucks and trailers will be parked on Church St. between 17th & 18th Streets, 18th st. between Church & Dolores (along the park side), and Dolores St. between 17th & 18th st. All the necessary permits have been filed and the crew will have park rangers and SFPD on location to ensure safety and traffic flow.
