Dolores Garden Club Returns Thursday

The Dolores Park Garden Club, an ongoing project of Dolores Parks Works, the Dolores Park Ambassadors and  Rec and Park Department will have it’s second event this Thursday, October 12, 10am.  Our aim is to help beautify Dolores with direct action. This new project will take our park stewardship to the next level. We are setting aside the battle against trash for the moment and are helping the Rec and park gardeners plant more flowers. Come join us in beautifying Dolores Park.

We are welcome highly skilled gardeners to novice, children as well as adults. REc and Park has all the tools and skills we need. Bring water, a hat, sensible shoes.

Volunteering in the park helps form connections with the park department workers, city officials and the park patrons and sets an example of respect for our parks. “Friends” of the park are an important link in the civic chain that keeps are parks vital, well maintained and safe. And gardening is fun!
